Girls win the scavenger hunt
8/3 Rancho Cucamonga HS All-Comers Meet #1
Freshmen and other new runners get their first taste of high school racing on this quick two-mile course. While experienced runners get a chance to shake off the rust and see the improvements from their summer training program.
Seniors lead the way with Hailie & Gaby who finished 1st/2nd for the girls, and Chris & Mateo going 2nd/3rd.
Runners making their High School XC debut were Evan, Chris Alfaro, Kaden, Nathan L., Cohen, Kendall, Isabelle, and Kayley.

Frosh Girls, make their high school debut. Great first race, highlighted by Isabelle's medal-winning performance,
Sophomore Girls get into race mode with their first 3 mile race of the season
JV Girls, Start the season off in the Large Schools division. They were led by Elizabeth who finished 1st for the team and earned a medal.
Varsity Girls take 8th in "Sundown Showdown". Gabby earns a medal and Karla and Natalie make their varsity debuts.
Frosh boys run their first 3 mile race. They get valuable experience in a big time race.
Sophomore boys raced in the Large School division and were led by Ethan.
JV boys, with some big PRs. Great race for Matthew as he put the the varsity team on notice. Matthew had the 7th fastest time of the day including varsity.
CV Varsity squad, take 6th in Large School Division. Varsity debuts for Nathan, Angel, Ahris, Evan, and Richard. Chris and Mateo earn medals.
Rosemead Invitational 9/9
After a relativity pedestrian showing the previous week, the team re-grouped and re-focused. They came into the evening looking to make a statement and they did not disappoint. A week ahead of the Woodbridge Invitational the team was looking to solidify the varsity roster and the results showed it, nearly everyone ran a personal or season best. Several kids broke some huge milestones and the team looked poised to accomplish their lofty goals.
Freshmen boys start off an amazing night of personal bests and continue to gain experience. Richard (16:42) and Evan (16:43) lead the way as they defend their varsity spots a huge accomplishment for any freshman. The two runners finished with a flurry as it took an all-out sprint to separate the two.
Woodbridge Classic Invitational 9/16
The team joined in the biggest invitational so far this year, joining 477 schools from 16 states. We earned plenty of medals and some PRs. The team was represented by our fantastic girls team participated in the featured "Sweepstakes Race" consisting of the very best individuals and teams from across the country. They held their own in the loaded field and made us all proud.

The team shared a meal and fueled up before their first league meet. Thanks to all the parents for the delicious food and effort to organize the event.
Citrus Belt League Meet 1, CSUSB 9/23
The Girl's team remains dominant winning the top two individual spots (Hailie and Gabby) while also taking first as a team and placing 6 runners in the top 10. The boys take third as a team with 3 top ten finishers and a third-place result for Senior Mateo Saldana.

Citrus Belt League meet 2, Beaumont High School 10/14
Another dominant showing for the girls varsity as they take first place as a team and top runners go 2,3. The boys made great strides at closing the gap with the top teams in the league, they finish just 6 points from winning the meet.

The story of the day for the girls was all about strong grade-level duos. Frosh Natalie and Isabelle go 1,2 in their heat.

Lots of experience gained from all our athletes many running Mt. SAC for their first time while others get another opportunity to improve on their past performances and showcase all their hard work. On the boy's side, some boys were trying to secure their spot on the varsity roster for league finals and the postseason.

For many of our runners this was the end of the line. Our JV teams took 2nd (Girls) and third (boys). JV stars Karla and Elizabeth showed off the team's depth by going 1, 4 in the JV race. For the boys the JV squad had two runners Malakai and Ahris go under 18:00.
Emerging Freshman standout Jose gets his first taste of varsity racing finishing 6th for the team.
Varsity boys advance to CIF postseason with a third place overall team finish in the league and place 3 runners (Chris 3, Mateo 5, Diego 7 )in the top ten earning all-league honors.
The Varsity Girls squad repeats as league champions. They go 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 13, 14, placing an impressive 5 runners in the top ten and earning all-league honors for Hailie, Gaby, Alegra, Natalie, and Odyssea. The girls will enter CIF postseason with high expectations and a top 10 ranking.
Hailie Lomeli puts an exclamation on her reign of the CBL, with a second consecutive individual league title as she finishes just in front of her teammate Gabby who has been pushing and challenging her all season.
